Two people in charge of relationships and encounters

In contradiction with the habits and ready-made formats of "cultural mediation", the aim will be to develop a way of thinking in line with the values and the annual theme of the festival, to experiment with programming proposals (workshops, conferences, animations, etc.), co-designed with the festival team and in connection with associations and the inhabitants of Brussels.

Wanted profile
· No specific training required, but a strong critical and analytical mind
· Experience related to the position is necessary
· Fluency in French, fluency in Dutch and English is an asset
· Real capacity to invent and execute schemes
· Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
· Curiosity and creativity
· Great listening skills, autonomy and versatility
· Interest in the performing arts and knowledge of its networks
· In-depth knowledge of anti-sexist, anti-racist practices and/or theories, of the fight against social, ethno-cultural, gender, sexuality and disability discrimination, etc.
· Flexibility to work full time as the festival approaches

A financial and administrative manager

In order to organize the festival in the best conditions, we are looking for a person who will be in charge of the financial management and administration of the festival (participation in the rationalization of all the financial and administrative processes, periodic balance sheets and annual accounts, management of the accounting, contractualization, search for funding, etc.)

Wanted profile
· Fluency in French, fluency in Dutch and English is an asset
· Have a good knowledge of computer tools (Microsoft Office, Google Drive);
· Experience and/or affinity with the arts sector
· Be sensitive to the feminist and inclusive values of the organization
· Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment and as part of a team
· Have a good knowledge of the cultural landscape and the management of live performance in Belgium (and more specifically in Brussels)
· Legal knowledge of the administration (entertainment contracts, joint commissions and employment contracts, authors' rights, ...).
· Flexibility to work full time as the festival approaches

A communication intern

Within FAME, you will work hand in hand with the festival's communication and partnership manager, as well as with external contractors (graphic designers, web designers, printers, venues, artists). We aspire to a communication that is not so much in self-promotion as in the practice of care and the highlighting of our communities.

Offer
· Duration 9 months (January 16, 2023 - October 16, 2023).
· Between half time and three quarter time
· Flexible hours
· Possible remuneration according to the trainee's status
· Training in communication and public relations
· The possibility to be in direct contact with the associative and cultural field of Brussels

Wanted profile
· No training or experience necessary. Motivation and interest in the festival is what matters most (the FAME team plans to train the intern in the field of communication)
· Bilingual Dutch and French and/or English (minimum level B2)
· Good verbal and writing skills
· Ability to be autonomous, versatile, curious and creative
· Sensitivity to the feminist and inclusive values of the festival
· Knowledge of computer tools Word, Excel, Google Drive
· Knowledge of digital communication tools and a strong interest in social networks (Instagram, Facebook, Mailchimp...)
· Interest in the performing arts (knowledge of its networks, as well as the functioning of Belgian cultural institutions is an asset)

A production & administration intern

Within FAME, you will work hand in hand with the production manager and the person in charge of the financial and administrative management of the festival (accounting, subsidies, contracts, ticketing, partnerships, logistics, planning, catering), as well as with external service providers (social secretariat, accountant, ...).

· 8 months (February 2023 to October 2023)
· Between part time and full time
· Possible salary depending on the trainee's status

Wanted profile

· Knowledge of accounting, salary administration, and funding circuits in the non-profit sector is an asset
· Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Drive
· Interest in the performing arts (knowledge of its networks, as well as the functioning of Belgian cultural institutions is an asset)
· Organized, meticulous, ability to identify priorities in the multiple tasks to be performed
· Bilingual in Dutch + French and/or English (minimum level B2)
· Good interpersonal and writing skills
· Sensitivity to the feminist and inclusive values of the festival

A freelance translator

We are looking for a translator to interpret texts and writings from French into Dutch (sometimes from Dutch into French), taking care to respect their original meaning, format and tone.
This involves translating promotional texts for the festival (descriptions of programmed shows and activities, intentions, practical information, press releases, dossiers).

· Freelance work
· A very clear schedule of the workload (number of words per period, workload spread between February, March, April, mail, August 2023)
· Remuneration at 40€ (vat incl.) per a4 page (450 words)
