The opening evening will end with music and dance by Banda Sardinhas, a group of six female musicians based around Forró, a traditional music from north-east Brazil.
Banda Sardinhas is the festive accompaniment to this opening night, with a concert led by six musicians united around Forró, a traditional music from north-east Brazil filled with warm, danceable rhythms, to share a moment of good humour all together!
Banda Sardinhas is: Clémence on lead vocals and cavaquinho, Lara on violin, Alice on percussion and flute, Octavia on percussion and saxophone, Juliette on percussion including the zabumba (a typical Forró bass drum) and Lisa on bass. The voices of each join forces to accompany Clémence on backing vocals.
