A discussion and writing workshop for mothers and people involved in breastfeeding.

“Feeding our children” is a discussion and writing workshop among people involved in breastfeeding. The workshop is brought by Aliette Griz, parent of two children, in collaboration with Bintou Touré, mother of three daughters, spokesperson for the Comité des femmes sans papiers and, and Nesrine El Mabrouk, a midwife working in lactation at the Centre Périnêtre, also a mother of three. Breastfeeding is one of the first options that defines motherhood. We want to compare and enrich our feminist approaches based on different origins and words, taking care not to invisibilise or prioritise one over the other.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for a meeting among concerned persons to collect stories. The idea will be to look at what breastfeeding has to tell in a city like Brussels.

This workshop is offered to mothers or individuals interested in breastfeeding, either as a topic of discussion or as a practice. If you are not a breastfeeding mother but are interested in the topic, please send an email to where@famefestival.be for a brief preliminary discussion about what drew you to the topic.

A babysitting service will be organised according to demand.
