yamina el atlassi invites QREw, a platform of queer and racialized people. They will offer workshops, conference and dj-set.

QREw was born out of an urge to gather to celebrate and create, with joy and brilliance. It is a solidarity and exchange network in which people can express whatever drives them with audacity and boldness.

1* Workshop about trans national/racial adoption

The workshop is split in two spaces:

The first being a possible place of exploration and playfully comprehending transnational/racial adoption.
This playful workshop is non-mixed, meaning that the target group is children from 10 years old with a transnational/racial adoption background.The facilitators also share this background. Holded by Jackie and Sun-Joo.

The second, for the adults only, is a lecture conducted by Betel Rose, an anti-racist educator and activist, addressing transnational/racial adoptions with a decolonizing lens. The conference is open to adults (primarily adoptive parents) interested in trans/national/racial adoption.

Yasmina Tayoub aka Gem&I is a dancer and DJ, based in Brussels. Resident at Lyl Radio with her show named after her beloved Lilith, as well as at Kiosk Radio with Zeitouna, Gem&I navigates between trance, raï, ambient, shoegaze, downtempo and FUCK THE BPM. So many gems, so many eyes. Will you get wet or will you lie ? GEM or DIE

1st workshop · Jackie, Sun-Joo and Betel Rose
Jackie [he/they] is a multidisciplinary artist active in theater, the alternative Brussels fanzine, painting (in academic institutions) and the animation of activists workshops. They articulate their work between a deeply intimate personal reflection and a collective dialogue to identify, define, and claim struggles. · Sun-Joo (they / he) is a self-taught tattoo artist, based in Brussels for a year. Graduated in graphic and editorial design, they also work on various projects (print and digital) during the day and in a bar at night. He is creating a drag character based on his experience as an adopted Asian queer person. · Betel Rose [she/they] is a black, queer, anti-racist, feminist and decolonial activist. She gives training and workshops around racism to create a safer space for racialized people in corporations, associations and collectives.
2nd workshop · Sosucks
Sosucks is a multidisciplinary artist. He performs his femininity and spirituality with both of his alter-egos, Minnie Fetish and Sandokan Sufi.
3 portraits · Nim Gamboa
Nimuel Gamboa is a filipinx-belgian animation director living in Brussels. They directs music video, short films and commissions (for TIFF, Cannes, BSFF, ...). Their skills also extend to illustration, live-action animation and exhibitions of paintings. They also provides sensitivity reading services and militant work as part of the collective " Décolonisons l'animation ", which aims to deconstruct and denounce racist practices within the animation industry.

yamina el atlassi, a cultural activist that aim for social changes through her roles and engagements in the fields of arts, culture, and nightlife. She’s an advisor on inclusion, diversity, and is working for more presence and better representation of people from marginalized groups. She has collaboration with art institutions, authorities, collectives and artists from all disciplines.
